I'm not a big fan of 5. The change in location from London to - was it Manchester? or Birmingham? - was maybe a little too shocking for me. I missed all the supporting characters terribly. I've been meaning to watch it again someday and give it another chance, but haven't gotten around to it. I need to re-watch 6, too, which I recall as having some great moments but being overall kind of disappointing.

I missed those regular characters as well.
So much TV that we see here is London centric, that is was interesting to see the Midlands (it was Manchester) even in their present difficulties. Some of the imagery, as I mentioned, stuck.

Have you seen the Red Riding series? I watched it over the holidays and it was outstanding. "To the North - where we do what we want!"

I don't think its crossed the pond yet. I do like Sean Bean's work.
I will definitely check it out. Thanks fen.

I thought you were in England? It's on DVD here in the States, but if you have on-demand cable (I have Time-Warner) you can watch all three for free right now courtesy of the Sundance channel (even if you don't subscribe to the Sundance channel - it's under the "Movies" menu, sub-menu "Free Movies," sub-menu "Sundance Channel."

Sean Bean doesn't have a lot of screen time but, man, is he great. I'm so used to him as a good guy that this performance really knocked me out. Andrew Garfield and Paddy Considine are also terrific.

PrSus is a GREAT one. Helen is almost as a big a crush item as ShJones from Music Man. On the latter, just ytube "Goodnight my someone" (I am sure it's there) to fall in love again...
